A manual strobe with exceptional cost performance.
Circular beam angle of 100°x100° and guide number of up to 20. The YS-02 is a new compact-type slave strobe that can be used for all applications from wide-angle to macro photography. You can use the YS-02 as a manual slave strobe with the guide number control function, which can set the light level to any of ten levels. Properly exposed images can be taken with the adjustable light levelcontrol dial. The YS-02 is equipped with a pre-flash cancel mode (*1) that is compatible with a wide range of digital cameras with a pre-flash. Power comes from four AA batteries for a powerful and long-lasting strobe, so you can enjoy taking pictures all day long without having to recharge the batteries. The recycle time takes 1.9 seconds with nickel-metal hydride batteries (2700 mAh) for stress-free continuous shooting. You can fully exercise your creativity withthe YS-02, which can be used as a primary strobe or secondary strobe in a wide range of applications, from compact digital cameras to digital SLR cameras.

*Some digital cameras adjust flash levels after a first flash and then capturean image with a second (main) flash. This first flash is called the pre-flash. The strobe`s pre-flash cancel function ignores the pre-flash and synchronizes the strobe with the main flash.

Nikon D7000 compatibility with the DS-TTL system and YS Converter/N
●Nikon D7000 compatibility with the SEA&SEA’s DS-TTL strobes (with Fiber-optic cable connection)
When the Nikon D7000 camera is used with a SEA&SEA strobe equipped with the DS-TTL function, the DS-TTL metering has been found to be sometimes unstable in testing. The YS-01 (#03112) and the YS-110α (#03111) strobes are not TTL-compatible when the strobe are set in DS-TTL mode.
The strobes and D7000 camera synchronize without any problem in manual mode. It is highly recommended to use the strobes in manual mode when using the Nikon D7000.
Nikon D7000 compatibility with the YS Converter/N
●When a SEA&SEA strobe with a standard Nikonos type connection and YS Converter/N is used in TTL mode with the Nikon D7000, it has been found that the strobe sometimes fail to fire in testing. Due to these results, the YS Converter/N is deemed not compatible with Nikon D7000 in TTL mode at this time. However, the D7000 and YS Converter/N may become compatible if a firmware revision is possible. Testing and qualification processes are on-going. If new information becomes available SEA&SEA SUNPAK will update this website.

Almost all essential functions of the Nikon D7000 can be operated underwater.
Every detail of the housing is precision machined from a solid aluminum block. The housing is protected by highly corrosion and abrasion resistant anodizing coating.
Features a slanted (sideways) button on the back with an original structure for balancing even more active functionality and styling in high dimension.
Furnished with a tripod socket in the central region of the bottom surface of the main body. If you remove the attached Ergo Grip, you can also add an optional Grip-Stay L.
Equipped with a Optical Viewfinder 0.5x as standard. Other interchangeable 0.66x/0.8x viewfinders (optional) are also available.
The quick shoe makes the camera easy to install and remove from the housing.
A built-in leak sensor immediately alerts you to any water leakage.
Depth rating of 100m/330ft makes the housing ideal for tech diving.
*The YS converter N is not compatible with the Nikon D7000 in a SLR housing (as of March 2011).
*The SEA&SEA strobes’ DS-TTL function is not compatible with the Nikon D7000 due to the camera’s TTL system (as of March 2011). Use the strobes with manual mode.
*When the MDX-D7000 is shipped from factory, the housing is sealed with connector cap. *In order to use a SEA&SEA strobe without the Optional Sync Cord Connector N, Fiber-Optic Cable (L-type) is required.
